Jana Sena is a big headache for TDP in this temple town

TDP-Jana Sena alliance is going to be one big happy news for all the diehard TDP lovers. They are happy that this is a winning combo and could help in the comeback of the TDP.   However, at the ground level, there are many unanswered questions. For many TDP politicians, who have invested heavily in their constituencies, this is a bolt from the blue.

What if the seat is given to the Jana Sena as part of electoral understanding? What will become of their future if they are asked to step down for the Jana Sena? Many TDP ticket aspirants are spending sleepless nights due to the sudden meeting of Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu.

Take for instance Tirupati. This constituency has a huge chunk of Balija votes. These Balijas have a natural love for the Jana Sena party. Remember that Chiranjeevi won from Tirupati assembly constituency in the 2009 elections mainly on the strength of the Balija voters. The same community might now rally behind Pawan Kalyan. This only means that senior TDP leaders like former MLA Sugunamma, former chairperson of Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) Narsimha Yadav and others will be denied the party ticket.

Jana Sena has quite a few Balija leaders like Kiran Royal and Pasupulti Hariprasad. They could demand the party ticket. Meanwhile there are reports that senior TDP leader Vooka Vijayakumar is planning to leave the party and join the Jana Sena. He  might stake a claim for the Jana sena ticket in the assembly elections. All these developments have poured cold water on the hopes of the TDP leaders.
