Jana Sena-TDP alliance, a new headache for this minister

Update: 2022-10-24 12:47 GMT
One YSRCP politician who is watching the Jana Sena-TDP alliance up and close is Minister Chelluboyina Venugopal Reddy. He is worried that his chances of winning in the 2024 elections could be affected if both the TDP and the Jana Sena come together. So, he is watching the developing situation with great concern.

The TDP was quite strong in Ramachandrapuram assembly constituency, but Chelluboyina Venugopal managed to defeat him. Post the elections, TDP's biggest leader Thota Trimurthulu had later joined the YSRCP and was made an MLC. This was seen as a godsend opportunity for Chelluboyina as the YSRCP would get both Kapu as well as dominant Setti Balija votes.

However, now that the Jana Sena and the TDP have come together, there could be a strong Kapu consolidation. The TDP incharge for the constituency Reddy Subramanyam too is working hard to mobilise support for the party. The Jana Sena too has a strong presence in the constituency. Party's leader Polisetty Chandrasekhar too is quite popular in the constituency.

Hence if both the TDP and the Jana Sena come together, there could be problems for the minister as there could be a major Kapu consolidation. Some key leaders like Bonda Venkanna too are supporting the Jana Sena leaders. With the political equations changing, Minister Venu is watching the situation with alarm. It remains to be seen how the minister tackles the situation.
