The rivalry between Jayalalitha and Karunanidhi is known to many and they can go to any extent to show upper hand against each other. But in a welcome move the newly sworn in Chief minister has thanked the opposition leader and DMK party leader Stalin.
The swearing in ceremony of Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha was attended by many political stalwarts across nation. DMK leader and Karunanidhi son Stalin also attended the event. Stalin allotted a back-row seat at the venue of Jaya's swearing-in ceremony and it turned as hot debate and some even termed it as deliberate attempt of Jaya.
Karunanidhi also found fault with the treatment meted out to Stalin had said that his party was insulted at the swearing-in ceremony. Karunanidhi termed it as arrogance of Jayalalitha.
Now Jayalalitha has responded on the issue and said there was no intention to show disrespect to Stalin or DMK party. Jaya said the seating arrangement was made as per protocol and gave an explanation in a letter which was released to media.Jaya said she would have made special arrangements if she knew about presence of Stalin. Jaya added that she looked forward to work with his party for development of state.
