AIADMK Candidates for the by-polls of Thanjavur, Thirupparankundram and Aravakurichi Assembly Constituencies submitted Form B to the Election Commission with Jayalalithaa's left thumb impression instead of her signature.
Opposition Parties raised this issue before the Election Commission. They questioned why can't Jayalalithaa affix her signature if there is truth in reports that she is having food on her own.
Dr. P Balaji of Madras Medical College says Jayalalithaa was unable to offer her signature and couldn't even use her right thumb impression as he was receiving injections to the same hand. He explains CM has affixed her left thumb impression with full conscience and also in his presence.
Dr Babu K Abraham signed as witness in the B Form of the AIADMK Candidates.
In view of her present health condition, Election Commission approved Jayalalithaa's thumb impression on the B Form.
