Amma Call Centre launched

There is no stopping to Amma-brand schemes & welfare programmes in Tamil Nadu. After launching Amma Canteens, Mineral Water, Vegetables, Cement and Medical Care, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Tuesday kickstarted 24*7 call centre to address people's grievances at the earliest.

Jayalalithaa launched Amma Call Centre through a video-conference. Toll-Free Number '1100' at any time in the day throughout the year and complaints can be registered. Details of the caller and issue raised by him/her will be registered on computer and they will be referred to the concerned department through phone call or sms or e-mail. Caller will also be intimated about the department and official his/her issue is being referred through an SMS. After resolving the issue, A SMS will be sent to the caller.

Latest Technologies such as Computer Telephony Integration and Voice Logger System has been used for registering the grievances. Initially, 15,000 calls will be recorded per day and the count could be increased depending on the demand.

Already, The Special Cell arranged by Tamil Nadu Government is alerting departments based on the complaints received. Amma Call Centre will further speeded up the whole process.
