In a shocking turn of events, well-known political strategist Prashant Kishor and Pavan Varma were expelled from the Janata Dal-United party. The latter is often termed as a rebel leader.
This shocking move comes soon after both the leaders had an ugly war of words with the senior leaders of the JDU party. This left even the political circles in a state of shock.
To confirm the same the JDU has released a statement and said, "And even after being given the option to leave the party as per his wishes, he chose to use objectionable words against the party chiefâ.
"To ensure Prashant Kishor doesn't stoop even lower, it is important to let him go from the party," it added.
"The behaviour of Prashant Kishor and Pavan Varma shows that the two have no respect for the party's rules, thus they are being relieved of their roles and primary membership of the party," the statement said.
The situation turned worse when Prasant Kishor found fault with the JDS supporting the controversial CAA bill.
After getting expelled from the party. Kishor took to Twitter to share his feelings on this.
"Thank you @NitishKumar. My best wishes to you to retain the chair of Chief Minister of Bihar. God bless you," read his Tweet.
