Jio Is Now India's Biggest Telecom Operator

Reliance Jio managed to attain the No.1 Spot when it comes to the subscribers base within 3 years after its launch. This company owned by Mukesh Ambani have 331.3 million subscribers by June 2019.

In May this year, Jio surpassed Bharti Airtel to become second largest mobile operator in the country with 322.9 million subscribers and 27.80 percent market share. Airtel, on the other hand, have 320.38 million subscribers and 27.6 percent market share.

In the first quarter of 2019-20, Vodafone Idea subscribers base declined to 320 million from 334.1 million. Whereas, Jio claimed the top spot with continuous growth.

Merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular established Vodafone Idea as the largest telecom operator in India with over 400 million subscribers. However, Vodafone Idea kept losing its millions of subscribers every month.
