JK Maheshwari new Chief Justice of AP High Court

Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari was sworn in as the first Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court. He was administrated the oath of office by Governor Bishwabushan Harichandan at Thumallapalli Kalakshetra in Vijayawada. Later, he was congratulated by Jagan Mohan Reddy and Governor Bishwabushan.

Maheshwari's family members, Justice Praveen Kumar, who is acting as interim Chief Justice of the High Court, LV Subramaniam, Secretary to the Government of the state, and several other judges attended the swearing-in ceremony.


Justice Maheshwari was born on June 29, 1961. Enrolled as a lawyer on November 22, 1985, he started practicing in the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Before being appointed as the CJ of the AP High Court, He was a senior judge in Madhya Pradesh High Court.
