Judge Behind Mecca Masjid Blast Verdict Resigns

Much to everyone's shock, Special NIA Judge Ravinder Reddy submitted his resignation to AP Chief Justice hours after delivering the verdict in the Mecca Masjid case. He cited personal issues as the reason behind stepping down

On Monday, Mr.Ravinder Reddy acquitted all the five accused including Swami Aseemanand stating not even a single allegation made by the Prosecution has been proved.

AIMIM Chief & Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi responded on the resignation in this manner: 'Judge who gave acquittal to all accused in Mecca Masjid Blast RESIGNS very intriguing and I am surprised with the Lordship decision'.

About 8 people were killed and 58 other injured in the bomb blast which happened in the historic Mecca Masjid on May 18th, 2007. NIA took over the case in 2011 and framed charges against 10 people but only five of them were arrested till date.
