Jupally planning to quit TRS, to contest as independent?

Is senior TRS leader Jupally Krishna Rao planning to rebel against the party leadership and contest the 2023 elections in Telangana on his own? If sources are to be believed, he is preparing ground to join either the BJP or the Congress Party and contest on their ticket from Kollapur. Sources also say that he is determined to be in the fray even as an independent if need be.

Jupally Krishna Rao, who is a strong contender from Kollapur, had won on Congress ticket initially and later as the TRS candidate. But in the 2019 elections, he lost to the Congress Party. In the later developments, victorious Congress candidate Harshavardhan Reddy joined the TRS. Since then the importance of Jupally began reducing in Kollapur. The situation has come to such a pass that Jupally had to put up his candidates on Forward Block ticket during the recent local body elections. Though he has got many of his candidates elected and proved his strength, the party leadership appears to be unmoved. It did not compensate him by way of giving him a nominated post.

Finding the winds unfavorable , Jupally is now actively considering leaving the TRS and contest the elections on his own. He is planning to contest on either BJP or Congress ticket or even as an independent. He is said to be preparing ground for the 2023 elections. He is reportedly in talks with various political parties.
