Kamal Haasan Aims Southern Coalition

Update: 2018-02-22 11:49 GMT
Kamal Haasan launched his political party 'Makkal Needhi Maiam' and unfurled the flag during the public meeting in Madurai on Wednesday. In the Flag, Six Hands were found holding one another and a colour combination of red, white & black is being used.

Ulaganayagan explained he preferred to have Six Hands in the party flag as he treats them like six of the Southern States (AP, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Union Territory Andaman Nicobar Island). A clear indication has been sent that though his major focus will be on Tamil Nadu, He will be a representative of South India and may form Southern Coalition to end North-South disparity.

'Maiam' in My Party's Name indicate 'Centre'. Which means neither I am Left (Left Parties) nor Right (BJP) but wishes to remain Centre.

The 63-Year-Old appealed people not to sell their votes. He claimed his party would work for the welfare of all the sections of people. 'Ending caste politics and wiping out corruption is what we aim for! This is people's party,' he announced.
