Ace filmmaker Puri Jagannath claimed he is influenced very much by Kamal Haasan's onscreen performances.
Puri: "Osho, Ram Gopal Varma, Sri Sri, Chalam and Muppala Ranganakamma has a lot of influence on me. I grew into a Rebel after learning a lot through their books and interaction with them. Kamal Haasan's Nayakudu has left a lasting impression on my mind and its actually changed my life. I watched the film only twice and Kamal's negative character made me stronger".
