Kamal Haasan focuses on women, education, and entrepreneurs mainly in manifesto
Days after filing his nomination papers for the forthcoming Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Actor-turned-politician, Makkal Needhi Maiam(MNM) founder Kamal Haasan released the election manifesto.
As announced earlier, Kamal Haasan promised to provide â¹10,000 to â¹15,000 per month for housewives honing their skills. The amount will be provided to them as initiates for skill development.
By bringing initiatives to provide an amount for housewives based on their skills will reduce the burden on the government. The beneficiaries will also get an opportunity to earn a good amount going by their skills, Kamal said.
It has to be noted that ruling AIADMK and opposition DMK have also focused on women voters. Both parties assured Rs 1,500 and 1,000 respectively, for women family heads if they were elected to power.
Coming to the economy, the Universal Hero mentioned the issues faced by established run by the government like electricity generation and distribution corporation and transport establishments and how they are making losses.
MNM's manifesto also focused on educational facilities and standards in the state. Kamal promised to improve the standards of state-run schools to international standards. Students can study if the facilities are improved, he said.
Kamal Haasan had also promised incentives for youth entrepreneurs in the manifesto. Along with providing training, a path that guides them to become aspiring entrepreneurs will also be made available for them.
The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections are slated to commence on April 6, 2021, in a single phase for all the 234 constituencies. Kamal Haasan is the Chief Minister candidate of the MNM alliance.
