Kamal Haasan fielded Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) Candidates in all the Lok Sabha Constituencies in Tamil Nadu but none of emerged victorious. Ahead of the counting of votes, The Legendary Actor told MNM vote share will cross 10 percent although political analysts predicted anywhere around 5 percent. In the end, MNM secured only 3.72 percent vote share. Which shows that self-assessment of the Actor has gone wrong.
MNM showed its presence in the Urban Constituencies in Tamil Nadu. While Coimbatore Candidate R Mahendra received 1.45 lakh votes, Candidates in three Segments in Chennai secured over 1 lakh votes each. Kamal's Party attained third position in all of these constituencies.
Whereas, MNM failed to leave any impact in the rural constituencies. People in Rural Areas are still rallying behind DMK and AIAMDK.
Kamal kept saying 2019 Lok Sabha Polls are like dress rehearsals for 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly Polls. If MNM could manage only 3.72 percent vote share in Lok Sabha, How much it can attain in the Assembly Polls?
