What the predecessor government did must be undone. This seems to be the policy of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath. He is on a transferring spree. Soon after coming to power with a slender majority, the first thing he did was to order mass transfers. As part of his transfer spree, he has transferred 46 dogs also. Yes. He has transferred sniffer dogs of the police department. Along with the sniffer dogs, their trainers too have been transferred. Three of the dogs have been transferred to the CM residence in Bhopal. These dogs and their trainers are now posted in the CM's official residence.
The transfer of dogs is inviting lot of derision in Madhya Pradesh. The social media has memes making fun of the Chief Minister's decision. Madhya Pradesh police have 46 sniffer dogs at its command. Former chief minister Shivraj Singh has criticised the move and said this was a mindless decision. He said due to this decision, the dogs are posted in places where they are not needed. Places where they are necessary have no dog squads now, he pointed out.
