Is Kanna Completely Taking Over BJP In AP?

Update: 2018-07-18 05:57 GMT
When Kanna Lakshminarayana was made the AP BJP president, there were fears among the oldguard that he would sideline them and fully take over the party. Now, some old guards feel their fears are coming true.

Kanna Lakshminarayana, a diehard politician with roots in Congress, is slowly but surely taking control of the party. Those who support him are being pampered, while those who are sulking are being marginalized. His current tour of all the districts is also said to be aimed at building his own cadre. Wherever, there is some opposition within the party, he is effectively sidelining them.

For instance, when he recently went to Kurnool, several of the old leaders were conspicuous by their absence. But, Kanna did not bother about them and contacted Congressmen, who are now idle. These have suddenly become active in the BJP. It is said that at least five candidates have come forward to contest on the BJP ticket for Kurnool Lok Sabha seat. But, the best part is that Amit Shah is said to be happy with Kanna's performance and his combative style. This kind of leadership, according to Amit Shah, is needed for the BJP in Andhra Pradesh.
