Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy's Son Nikhil Gowda met YS Jaganmohan Reddy at his residence in Amaravati on Tuesday. AP CM welcomed Nikhil Gowda who arrived to his house for congratulating him over the victory in 2019 Elections. The Actor ruled out any political importance for the meeting by saying it's just a courtesy call.
Nikhil Gowda has unsuccessfully contested against Independent Candidate Sumalatha in Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency in the recent elections. He, however, hadn't given up his political aspirations but moving ahead with a strong determination to establish himself as a strong force in Karnataka.
The Congress-JD (S) Coalition Government in Karnataka might collapse at any moment. Both the parties could offer a golden opportunity to BJP with their lack of coordination.
On the other hand, HD Kumaraswamy maintained good relations with Chandrababu Naidu until the election results were declared. Realising that YCP is the most influential regional party at present, Nikhil Gowda might have taken the initiative to befriend Jagan. This could be a strategic move because of the significant Reddy population in Karnataka. Jagan has become an icon for the Reddys. If needed, JD (S) could take the help of YCP Chief anytime in future. This angle in Nikhil Gowda's visit can't be ruled out.
