Karnataka, Tamil Nadu started worrying with Naidu 2.0

Update: 2014-11-24 10:04 GMT
Way back in 2004 Chandrababu Naidu created huge impact among people with his  industry-friendly approach as chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh. He successfully managed to attract many investors to the state.

Now Babu is again back to power and he is closer to his old avatar. As per the reports neighbouring states Karnataka and Tamilnadi started worrying with Babu as they fear that he will hijack the investments of their states to newly formed AP.The state also have several tax benefits and industrial friendly policies and that doubled their worries obviously.Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has reportedly complained to PM Narendra Modi about the unfair tax breaks Andhra gets because of its 'new state' status. Tamilnadu former CM Jayalalitha also expressed her concerns over this to Modi.

Chandrababu already succeeded in bringing Hero Motocorp to Andhra Pradesh  by defeating Siddaramaiah Govt. As per reports Chief Minister is now eyeing the manufacturing plant of Hyundai Motors which is the second largest automobile player in India .In early November, Naidu landed in  Bengaluru and met industry captains and entrepreneurs. This raising several concerns to Karnataka Governemnt about Babu’s vision.

Coming to Tamil Nadu, Naidu's focus is to get manufacturing investment to move across the border to Sri City, a special economic zone located in Tada, which is just 55km from Chennai. Its already known that Japanese auto giant Isuzu decided to start its plant in Sri CIty.But it was first zeroed in on Chennai before settling on Sri City.

Karnataaka govt had offered many incentives to Hero motor corp including tax holidays, excise duty exemption, concessions in entry tax, and interest-free loan of central sales tax  but the officials changed their decision in last  minute as AP offered them free land.If Naidu continue the same dedication  perhaps it will be Vijayawada that will become India's Singapore.
