Karni Sena U-Turn: Padmaavat Praised, Protests End!

Update: 2018-02-03 09:14 GMT
The Shri Rajput Karni Sena created all the hungama over 'Padmaavat' alleging the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directorial hurts the sentiments of Rajputs. Violent protests were staged before and after the release. Cash rewards have been announced on the heads of Deepika and Bhansali. Even a ban was imposed on the period drama in close to five states.

Inspite of all the controversies, 'Padmaavat' released Worldwide on January 25th this year and grossed Rs 170 crore in India alone by this Friday. It's gonna end as the highest grosser in the careers of Bhansali, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

Much to everyone's surprise, Karni Sena which led the protests against 'Padmaavat' took a u-turn after the successful Box Office run. The Pro-Hindu Outfit announced 'Padmaavat' doesn't have any objectionable scene between Queen Padmini of Mewar and Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji. It now says Bhansali Film glorifies the valour of the Rajputs. Even the protests seeking ban of the movie has been withdrawn.

Will the latest move of Karni Sena pave way for the screening of 'Padmaavat' in other states as well? If that really happens, Full-run Collections will be beyond the expectations.
