Indian netizens who were not happy with the post had started trending the #BoycottKFC. As damage control, the company had deleted the Twitter post. But the damage had already been done as the netizens were quick in downloading the post made by KFC.

“You never left our thoughts and we hope that the coming years bring peace to you!"KFC said in a deleted post.

As the netizens made the hashtag trending and said that they will not eat KFC products, the Fast food restaurant company had swung into action to pacify the netizens who did not like the post shared by KFC on Kashmir Day.

KFC India took to Microblogging Site Twitter to issue an apology for the post that was made by the Twitter handle of KFC. Issuing an apology for the post, KFC said that it respects and honours India and with pride, they are committed to serving Indians.

“We deeply apologize for a post that was published on some KFC social media channels outside the country. We honour and respect India, and remain steadfast in our commitment to serving all Indians with pride," KFC said in a Twitter post.

In another incident, Pizza Hut also drew unwanted attention from the netizens for its post on Kashmir Day. The post shared by Pizza Hut says, the company stands with Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

After the situation turned problematic, Pizza Hut also issued an apology and distanced itself from the post that was made in solidarity with Kashmir.
