Former Congress leader Kaushik Reddy who joined the TRS party after he was slapped with show-cause notice switched his aides and joined the TRS in the presence of Chief Minister KCR.
At the time of joining TRS, Kaushik Reddy was reportedly assured that he would be nominated to the upper house in Governor's Quota.
However, there is no development in the nomination of Kaushik Reddy to the Legislative Council. It's been around seven days since the promise was made.
What we hear from the political circles is that KCR had deliberately upheld Kaushik Reddy's nomination as a bid to see that TRS party workers won't feel bad.
Earlier, reports emerged that the party workers who have been working for the TRS were reportedly not happy with Kaushik Reddy being the nominated MLC candidate of TRS.
Keeping this in mind, KCR is said to be of the opinion that nominating Kaushik Reddy would make the party workers unhappy which in turn would impact the winning chances of TRS in Huzurabad bypoll. This is the reason why there is no progress in his nomination.
One more thing that is working against Padi Kaushik Reddy is the cases filed against him. As 13 cases are said to be pending against Kaushik Reddy, the government is yet to take a call on this.
It is also said that, Telangana Governor who was informed about the pending cases against Kaushik Reddy sought a report on the pending cases reportedly.
Kaushik Reddy who was projected as Huzurabad candidate for Congress party was all over the news after his alleged audio clip went viral.
In the clip, a person believed to be Kaushik Reddy told a person that his ticket from TRS was confirmed and he even sought details of the youth in the constituency.
Political experts opined that to increase the winning chances of TRS and leave the Congress in a shock, the government thought of announcing Kaushik Reddy's candidacy at the neck of the moment.
Post the audio leak controversy, TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy had slapped him with a show-cause notice. This forced him to leave the party.
The TRS party's alleged game plan had failed before it started. Kaushik Reddy had joined the TRS camp later.
Kaushik Reddy had lost his membership in Congress and at the same time, his nomination was also stuck at the junction.
