KCR's daughter and MLC-elect Kalwakuntla Kavitha is back to Nizamabad. After losing badly to BJP's Dharmapuri Aravind, Kavitha had abandoned Nizamabad and did not even bother to visit the constituency. She did not even meet the party workers from Nizamabad. But now that she is certain to be elected an MLC from local body constituency to the council, she is back to Nizamabad.
On Friday, she had set up three free food distribution centres to the poor people in view of Corona lockdown. Two of them were in Nizamabad and one in Jagityal. In all the places, the local civic chiefs have opened the food distribution centres. Kavitha herself was not present. But, her image loomed large at all the three places. TRS sources say that she will now take more interest in the Nizamabad politics. She will now act as a counterfoil to Dharmapuri Srinivas, whose influence is growing by each passing day.
Hence, Kavitha has reportedly been asked by KCR to be more active in Nizamabad. Sources said that she would play a more active role in Nizamabad and will act as a counterfoil to Aravind. The launching of free food distribution centres is said to be the first step in that direction.
