Telangana second cabinet meeting of Telangana government headed by K Chandrasekhar Rao became a venue for crucial decisions on the various poll promises made by TRS during the elections.
KCR took major policy decisions on 43 important issues during its meeting held. Telangana CM briefed the media persons later on each of the decisions. The meeting took place for more than 6 hours and here are the details of the meeting.
1. 10 Lakhs to the families of martyrs who laid their lives for Telangana cause. One government job if eligible candidate is in the family .Benefit would also be extended to the martyrs of 1969 agitation.
2. All the legal cases related to statehood agitation will also be lifted.
3. Crop Loan below 1 Lakh will be waived off immediately , 39,07,409 families would benefit with the decision to waive off the loans . These beneficiaries include Gold loans taken for agriculture.
4. Constitution of State Minorities Commission and State Wakf Board.
5. A Committee will be set up to foresee the implementation of 12 per cent Muslim reservation in Telangana.
6. Allocating Rs.100 cr for the welfare of minorities and a District-level judge would be appointed to head the Wakf Tribunal. Houses to the poor in 120 yards in rural areas and flats to Urban poor.
7. Increment to the Telangana employees which would put an additional burden of Rs 180 crore on the State exchequer.
8. A committee to be constituted to study bringing State Government employees salaries on par with Central Government employees.
9. Remove Transport Tax from auto-rickshaws and farm tractors.
10. The constitution of Telangana Public Service Commission and State Election Commission also got the cabinet nod.
11. New scheme Kalayana Laxmi would be launched wherein all Dalit and Tribal girls would be given Rs 50,000 for their marriages.
12. Hyderabad will be developed as a global city and a new master plan would be devised for the same. Urban planners and international consultants would be hired for the jobs.
13. Rapid steps to be taken to modernize Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police Commissionerate by replacing new vehicles and fresh recruitments.
14. Agreed to constitute State Advisory Council wherein prominent personalities from all sections of society would be inducted.
15. Correction in the official emblem of Telangana as advised by the Union Home Ministry.
16. Naming the Agricultural University after Prof Jayashankar.
17. Naming the Veterinary University after former Prime Minister late PV Narasimha Rao.
18. Appointment of Ramakrishna Reddy as the Advocate General.
19. Old age and Widow pension Rs1000 and Handicapped to get Rs1,500
20. Power Loom labor loan waiver
21. 134 DSP Super Numerary Posts declared
22. FAST (Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana) Scheme for Fees Reimbursement and Financial Assistance for Telangana students with 1956 as the year to decide nativity.
23. Five Star Facilities for New Telangana Journalists Bhavan
24. Helicopter Survey for completion of all Irrigation Projects
25. Bhoodan Lands, Wakf Lands, Endowment Lands, ENT Hospital Lands and other
Government Lands encroached illegally will be recovered
