Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao is very particular about offering irrigation water to every acre of agriculture land in the state. He declared that as much as Rs 1.17 lakh crore will be spend on Irrigation Projects in the next 5 years to irrigate 1.25 crore acres.
About Rs 2.25 lakh crore were needed for the completion of all the ongoing/proposed Irrigation Projects in Telangana. So far, Rs 99, 643 crore were spent by the TRS Government. While Rs 77,777 crore had gone into construction activity, Around Rs 22,000 crore were spent for land acquisition and rehabilitation. Another Rs 7,000 crore expenditure is estimated by the end of March 2019.
Providing Irrigation Water to Farmers has been the top priority of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao. He didn't mind borrowing money from various sources to meet the high expenditure.
Telangana People will be grateful to KCR forever if Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha gets completed successfully. TRS would contest the next Assembly Polls seeking people's mandate on the Irrigation Projects.
