TRS Lawmakers are now competing to pick up the ideal villages for adoption as part of the Telangana Government's Grama Jyothi programme launched at Ganga-Devipalli in Geesekondal mandal of Warangal on Monday.
KCR has allotted Rs 25,000 crore for all-round development of Telangana villages in the next 5 years. He directed TRS Ministers, MLAs and MLCs to adopt villages in their district to make them into model villages. While each Minister was asked to adopt 5 villages, MLAs will have to adopt one village in each mandal of their constituency and MLCs should adopt their own village or any other place in their district.
As a result, TRS Lawmakers are in a mood to identify villages which could be developed quickly so that it will eventually help them win the faith of Telangana Chief Minister. They are collecting data of Gram Panchayats with sound finances so that those funds could be used while implementing Grama Jyothi programme for better results.
