Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and PM Narendra Modi discussed about various aspects during the hour-longing meeting in New Delhi ahead of NITI Aayog meet. It's then TRS Supremo lobbied very much for Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) which gonna transform Hyderabad into a global IT Hub. KCR went to the stage of complaining against a Union Minister and even PM offered a prompt response.
KCR reminded Narendra Modi about the assurance given by UPA Government ahead of Telangana state formation to set up ITIR in Hyderabad. Whereas, Union IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has recently declared ITIR in Hyderabad is a closed chapter. KCR complained the comment made by Union Minister hurt the sentiments of Telangana People. He even questioned how can Union Minister go against the decision taken by the Union Cabinet.
Then, PM Modi who looked visibly surprised to know about Ravi Shankar Prasad's comment gave an assurance to KCR that ITIR hasn't been withdrawn. During the meeting itself, PM contacted the IT Department Office to give a direction that ITIR Project shouldn't be shelved and it has to be establish in Hyd. He made it clear to the officials that Union Cabinet alone can scrap such a project.
