The ruling party in Telangana, TRS founded by Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao is in full josh with the recent Munugude by-poll result. In the intense by-poll, TRS emerged victorious by crushing the Bharatiya Janata Party which is posing a big threat to it.
Now the TRS made another big announcement and issued a public notice on changing the party name to BRS. The notice was issued in the name of party chief KCR which says that the name is changed to BRS from TRS and asked if there are any objections.
The public announcement sought people to place if they have any objections or reservations. It is a procedure that the party has to issue a notice on the new changes to the partyâs name and the outdoor has to accept the objections. Following the same, a public notice was issued.
The objections have to be informed to the Election Commission within less than 30 days from the date when the public notice was issued. The EC will then look into the objections and inform the same to the party which wants to change its name.
After looking into the objections, the Election Commission will decide on what name the TRS can have. If the body wonât get any objections then the TRS will have a new party name that too without any issues which will be a piece of good news to the party.
It is known that CM KCR announced the change in the party name to enter national politics to take on the mighty BJP. The Chief Minister wants to bring an alternative force to the saffron party at the Centre. He understood that he cannot do that single-handedly and for that, he is gathering support from various corners.
The likes of former Karnataka Chief Minister Haradanahalli Deve Gowda Kumaraswamy supported him and decided to walk with him. He said that it is the need of the hour for such leaders to come forward to bring democracy. However, he has clarity on how the alliance should work and said the BRS will not contest in the Karnataka elections.
