Who will be the Deputy Speaker? Rekha Naik could be the choice of TRS Leadership for this post considering the caste equations. She was elected as TRS MLA for the second term from Khanapur. Rekha Naik could receive Deputy Speaker Post in the ST Quota.
In the first term, KCR preferred Madhusudhana Chary (BC Quota) and Padma Devendar Reddy for Speaker and Deputy Speaker Posts. While Madhusudhana Chary failed to retain his seat, Padma Devendar Reddy could be the first Women Minister in Telangana State. By doing so, KCR could put an end to criticism over lack of representation for women in his cabinet.
