KCR's Planning Third Front Since One Month

Update: 2018-03-06 08:28 GMT
People assumed Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao might have proposed the idea of Third Front in the heat of the moment after Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman sought explanation from him over 'Modi Gadu' comment. Actually, TRS Chief is planning for creating an alternative to BJP and Congress since one month.

Last month, KCR went to Delhi for dental surgery. During his 10 days stay in the National CapitaL, CM spoke to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Jharkhand former CM Hemanth Soren, CPM National Secretary Sitharam Yechuri and Maharashtra MPs. On February 11th, He called Sitharam Yechuri and told he wants to discuss an important matter. Yethuri told him he was in AP at that time and promised to meet him after returning to Delhi but he couldn't do so due to prior commitments. Yechuri confirmed KCR's phone call news but denied meeting Telangana CM so far. Even Chattisgarh Janata Congress leader Ajit Jogi extended support the Third Front proposal.

Though he claims there is no secrecy in Third Front, KCR has done some exercise and got assurance from few leaders before making the official announcement. He seems to have felt Rahul Gandhi isn't able to give tough fight to Narendra Modi so far and the war in 2019 becomes one-sided if this situation continues.

KCR kept saying there won't be Modi Hawa in 2019 Polls and regional parties gonna dictate terms. He now wishes to unite the Anti-Modi Forces to capitalize on the anti-incumbency.
