KCR Praises Central Govt, Seeks Appointment With PM Modi

Update: 2020-12-10 04:42 GMT
After an acrimonious election campaign for the GHMC polls, Telangana CM KCR appears to be adopting a conciliatory tone towards the BJP. KCR will now tour Delhi for three days and he is seeking an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The CMO has written to the PMO for an appointment. This is being viewed as a significant development especially in the wake of the severe drubbing the TRS received at the hands of a resurgent and rejuvenated BJP.

Interestingly, KCR on Wednesday, congratulated Modi on launching the Central Vista project. This has come after KCR has strongly criticised the farm bills and joined the nation-wide bandh called by the Congress and other opposition parties on farm bills. Why is KCR sending conciliatory signals to the BJP? Is he holding an olive branch or a white flag?  There is also an animated debate over what would KCR discuss with the Prime Minister if he gets to meet Narendra Modi.

KCR is also set to lay a stone and launch the works of TRS party office building in New Delhi. The land has been given to the TRS by the Central Government. On Thursday, KCR will launch a slew of works in Siddipet assembly constituency. This is his first visit to Medak after the Dubbak debacle.
