Whenever any calamities or pandemic hits, Farmers are the ones who go through severe loss and the ongoing lockdown which was imposed in India with the outbreak of COVID 19 proved this yet again.
The situation in Telangana is somewhat different as the unseasonal rains destroyed the crops in some parts of the state adding more burdens on the shoulders of the farmers.
Following this, Telangana Chief Minister KCR decided to lend a helping hand for the farmers and announced Rs 12,000 crores towards the crop loans which will benefit around 5.5 lakh farmers those who have loans less than 25,000.
As an addition, the state government has also released 7,000 crores for, Telangana government's very own Rythu Bandhu, that will benefit around 57 lakh farmers under the farm input assistance.
This move by the state government came at the right time when the opposition is targeting the ruling government for not showing concern on the farmers. This plan hits two birds with one shot, one the farmers get the assistance they need, second, the opposition cannot point out the government on this.
