Count on KCR for coming up with out-of-the-box ideas. After putting forth Federal Front idea before the regional parties before the polls, he has now come up with another 'bright' idea. Enough of north Indian Prime Ministers. It's time to have a South Indian PM, so gos his argument. He has also thought of a PM candidate. He is none other than Pinarayi Vijayan, the Kerala CM.
Reports say that KCR has put forth the idea to Pinarayi himself during his meeting with him on Monday. Interestingy, he did not present the idea at the press meet. Both Pinaray and KCR simply said that regional parties will play a key role in the post-poll politics. The CPM leader has assured to place the proposal before his national leadership.
However, besides this, KCR didn't achieve much success in his other endeavours. DMK honcho Stalin was lukewarm to the idea. He could meet Stalin on May 13, but there is no clarity about the meet from the DMK sources. Stalin is currently busy in campaigning for the remaining phases of polling and indicated that he may not have time for KCR.
As for the idea of Federal Front, the leaders of various parties are showing interest when KCR meets them and once he leaves, things do not seem to move forward.
KCR will soon meet Mamta Banerjee, Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav. All these three leaders are in a blow-hot-blow-cold mode with the Congress and one is not sure what their stand would be.
