IT giant Infosys Technologies is all set to open its new campus in Hyderabad that would be the company's largest facility in the world. Infosys will open its largest campus in Hyderabad in February next year and the 25,000-seat campus is coming up at Pocharam on the city's outskirts.
The first phase with 12,000 seating capacity is ready for inauguration. The news was announced after Infosys chief executive officer Vishal Sikka met IT minister KTR.
Vishal Sikka met Telangana's Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao at T-Hub on Monday to invite him for the inauguration. As per reports Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would inaugurate the Infosys campus.
Infosys currently has a campus in the IT corridor in Gachibowli with a seating capacity of 10,000. The company commenced work on the second campus in 2008 and the initial investment in the first phase was estimated to be Rs.600 crore.
The company currently employs close to 20,000 software professionals together in its existing as well as new campuses in Hyderabad
