CM & Deputy CM appear before Court

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia appeared before court on Sunday in connection with a defamation suit filed against them by Former Union Minister Kapil Sibal's son Amit Sibal.

Amit Sibal, a lawyer by profession, filed a criminal defamation case citing Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, former AAP Leader Prashant Bhushan and Shazia Ilmi had alleged he misused the position of his father to represent a Telecom Firm. On September 20th, 2014, The Court ordered for a trail based on the legal suit as per Section 500 (Defamation) of the Indian Penal Code. All the accused claimed to be not guilty of committing any offense and given their consent for the trail.

Controversies weren't new for AAP and its Leaders. Criminal cases have been booked against more than 12 AAP MLAs in the past two years. Even Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been embroiled in a lot of controversies. The friction between AAP Government & Centre is creating more problems to the people of Delhi.
