Kapil Mishra, once a key loyalist of Arvind Kejriwal and a minister holding key portfolios of law and water, is all set to join the BJP on Saturday. This is being seen as a significant development as Delhi is headed for assembly polls. Mishra has fallen out with Kejriwal and was dropped from the ministry saying that he was a 'non-performer.' Ever since, he became a bitter critic of Kejriwal and attacked him both within and outside. Pestered to no end by his endless tirade, the AAP has got him disqualified from the Assembly. This has paved way for his joining the BJP. Mishra will join the BJP on Saturday.
The BJP has lured several such disgruntled AAP MLAs and other leaders. Kumar Vishwas, once part of the AAP Trio along with Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, too is keeping away from the AAP these days. He has been praising Narendra Modi for his bold decisions and actions. Kumar Vishwas too, according to some BJP sources, might come out into the open and join the BJP ahead of the elections in Delhi.
Delhi has Aam Admi Government under Arvind Kejriwal. But, its stars are on the downward spiral ever since the Lok Sabha elections where the party finished third after the BJP and the Congress. To salvage its prestige, the party has to win back the confidence of the people. Desertions such as these by key leaders like Kapil Mishra could hit the party's chances badly in the elections.
