Superstar Rajinikanth was expected to announce his political party on December 31 and the launch was scheduled for January, five months before the state elections in Tamil Nadu. But, Rajini has now decided to opt-out of the politics, citing his health concerns.
Various political parties and fans have been expressing their views on Rajinikanth's announcement. Actress turned politician Khushbu said Rajinikanth's decision not to start the party at this stage had broken the hearts of every Tamil.
Khushbu took to Twitter and wrote, "Dear @rajinikanth sir, your decision breaks every Tamilians heart. But I truly understand nothing more matters than ur health n well being. I as ur well wisher n a friend will stand by your decision. You are precious n a very important person to me. Take care n stay happy."
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's fans staged a protest on Tuesday evening, at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai opposing his decision to quit from the politics.
