The YSRCP has almost finalized the list of its Rajya Sabha candidates. As many as four Rajya Sabha seats are going to fall vacant by June 21 this year. Of them, two are held by the TDP and one each by the BJP and the TDP. Given the complete domination it enjoys in the AP assembly, the YSRCP is likely to bag all the four seats in a facile manner.
If sources are to be believed, former union minister Killi Krupa Rani will be given a Rajya Sabha ticket. The YSRCP has decided to send her to Rajya Sabha. Kruparani, a doctor by profession, was an MP before and was a minister too. She would be very useful for the party in the days to come.
Similarly, the YSRCP is all set to give its general secretary Vijaya Sai Reddy another term in Rajya Sabha. Vijaya Sai has been extremely useful to the party in establishing contacts with the ruling BjP at the centre. Sources say that Killi Kruparani and Vijaya Sai together will try to improve YSRCP's influence at the national level.
Of the remaining two seats, one seat is likely to be given to Beeda Mastan Rao. Jagan promised him a Rajya Sabha seat to Mastan Rao. The fourth seat is likely to be given to industrialist Gautam Adani's wife Preeti Adani. The formalities about Preeti Adaniâs nomination have already been worked out. The official list would be made public in a couple of days, say the sources.
