Kishan Reddy Says Capital Is AP Government's Internal Issue

Update: 2020-01-03 08:46 GMT
Amid much fuss about the shifting of capital city from Amaravati to Vishakapatnam, BJP leader, and Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy urged the leaders of AP BJP to keep their silence on 'Three Capitals'.

The Minister said that the capital issue is completely the state’s internal issue and the Centre is not related to this but they will monitor the situation in the state.

"We are yet to get a proper information from the state regarding the capital. Until the state government decides, it is not appropriate on AP BJP leaders to react so early. We will discuss the matter with state and national leadership and will reveal BJP's stand on it," Mr. Reddy said.

He added that the Centre will take a call on this after having a look at the GN Rao committee, reports of Boston Consultancy and the suggestions of the state government.

He urged the state leaders to keep their silence on this issue or else this will lead to unnecessary issues in the state.
