Kishan Reddy Urges Everyone To Not Violate Lockdown Norms

In the wake of the second phase of lockdown expected to get lifted on the 3rd of May, Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy spoke about the lockdown measures and said that people should follow the lockdown rules and the violators will be booked.

The Minister indirectly targeted the 'Jana Jatara' scheme where the ruling TRS leaders are distributing essential goods for the needy people that too in large numbers.

"Lockdown was imposed to save the public from the Coronavirus!. These norms are equal for everyone. The ruling party and opposition parties should also follow these rules. Strict actions will be taken on the lockdown violaters," Kishan Reddy said.  

He said that the Centre is thinking of giving some exceptions in the green zones beyond May 3 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding talks with key officials and experts in this regard.

Talking about the funds released to Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Reddy said that 918 crores deposited in Farmers accounts and 300 crores and 46 crores were released for women and pensions respectively.

He went on to say that, Rs 550 crore released for disaster management and 179 crores was released for the state government under the COVID-19 aide.
