Political Parties have been moving forward strategically to emerge victorious in the 2019 General Elections. How much impact can Telangana Jana Samithi chief Prof.Kodandaram create in the next polls?
Kodandaram played key role in bringing Employees and People under one roof during the Telangana Movement with various programmes like Sakala Janula Protest, Vanta Varpu and Millennium March. At one stage, He even dominated TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao with his proactive approach. Kodandaram turned down the request of KCR to contest as MLA or MP on TRS Ticket in 2014 Polls. This is when they had a rift and the gap kept widening in the past four years.
In the past four years, Kodandaram opposed various policies of the TRS Government and even floated his own party to fight against KCR. Chances of Telangana Jana Samithi forming the government on it's own looks bleak but it could certainly hurt the vote share of other parties. Kodandaram would neither form alliance with Congress nor TDP. How much impact TJS could have on TRS despite contesting alone is the key. If TJS hurts TRS Poll Prospects, Congress would gain benefit from it eventually.
