TRS Government received a setback in the case related to the expulsion of Congress Legislators Komatireddy and Sampath Kumar from Assembly citing inappropriate behaviour during Governor's address in Budget Session. Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday allowed the Two MLAs to continue as Legislators. This is a mighty blow to Telangana CM KCR & his Government!
The headset thrown by Komatireddy injured the eye of Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud. Following which, Speaker disqualified MLAs Komatireddy and Sampath Kumar citing disciplinary action. Even a communication was sent to EC seeking by-election in those two constituencies. Apart from conducting 48-hours long fast, Congress Legislators challenged their disqualification in High Court.
High Court Today struck down the disqualification of Congress MLAs. TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy welcomed the verdict. He termed it as a slap on the face of rulers who act like dictators. On the other hand, TRS Leadership has been holding discussions to decide whether they should appeal in the upper court or accept the verdict.
