As many as 53 acres inSurvey No.83/2 at Raidurg Village in Serilingampally have been taken over by Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) and Ranga Reddy district administration. The portion of land was jointly owned by seven companies including the firm Visveswara Group belonging to YSR Congress MP Kothapalli Geetha.
Kothapalli Geetha alleged none of the companies were served notices before the land was forcibly taken into possession. She told the land was bought by the companies from Housing Society in the year 2008. She accused Revenue Department of removing the structures and fencing in an illegal manner inspite of Supreme Court order declaring it as private land. She also claims to be obtaining orders from High Court preventing Police, Revenue and TSIIC from taking into possession.
Telangana CM KCR has denied appointment to Kothapalli Geetha. She, however, brought the issue to the notice of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Governor ESL Narasimhan.
Revenue Department, on the other hand, defends the take over saying those 53 acres of land belongs to the Telangana Government.
