Update: 2018-09-11 13:53 GMT
At least 48 Pilgrims were killed on their way to Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple on Tuesday. Close to 20 others suffered severe injuries due to the fall of the TSRTC Bus into the valley.

TSRTC is facing criticism for running the over-crowded buses in Ghat Road. 75 Passengers have been in the ill-fated bus as against it's normal capacity of 50. The death toll has increased due to failure in providing proper medical assistance in time.

KTR and Kavitha faced backlash on social media for travelling to the accident spot in a special chopper from Hyderabad. Netizens opined the chopper should have been used for shifting the injured to the hospitals which have good medical facilities. Few of them had even gone to the extent of commenting that such things only happen in a country like India.

Telangana Government has been facing severe criticism for poor transport system. Caretaker CM KCR announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia for the families of the deceased. People have the feeling that rulers should have handled the situation a lot better.
