Update: 2020-04-23 06:10 GMT
Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic entered India, some media channels carried out stories that target the government on the lack of the pieces of equipment to fight the fatal virus.

In one such story, the famous media house 'India Today' stated that the Telangana government doesn't have the preventive equipment to fight the novel coronavirus.

Recently, India Today carried out a story on the states that were most affected by the COVID-19 in India. As per the story, 12 states have a very less number of Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) to provide the doctors and other medical staff.

The story added that Telangana is in the last place when it comes to Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) with just 3,132 PPEs. This did not go well with the TRS Working President KTR and he lashed out at the media house.

KTR took to Twitter and tweeted to India Today channel's director Rahul Kanwal."Rahul, If you don't have accurate data, don't publish nonsense & confuse people in these troubling times. Will you & India today apologise if I prove that we have 100 times more PPEs than what you have projected here? Sorry but this is disgraceful journalism Rajdeep Sardesai, "KTR's tweet read.

KTR went on to say that Telangana currently has more than 3.6 lakh PPEs and 6 lakh more PPEs will be coming to the state very soon. Let's see how India Today responds to this.
