Telangana Panchayat Raj and IT Minister K Tarak Rama Rao wrote a letter to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj about studentâs deportation from USA.In his letter the IT minister has asked to initiate a dialogue with the US government heads to ensure that Indian students seeking to study in the US were not put to harassment.
KTR in his letter stated that the recent spate of deportation of Indian students by the US Government distressed the students and their families and asked Sushma Swaraj to initiate a dialogue with the US officials concerned and solve the problem at the earliest.He said Hyderabad city has a maximum share in sending students and skilled workforce to the US.
In past one month more than 200 students from India had been deported back by the US authorities. Some girl students even complained that they had been ill-treated by the US immigration authorities. Almost all these students who deported were seeking admission in the Northwestern polytechnic and Sillicon Valley Universities
