Congress Leader KVP Ramachandra Rao breathed fire on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for removing the name of Indira Gandhi for Polavaram project. 'Indira Gandhi have given political life to CBN. Congress party has made him an MLA and Minister. How dare to remove Indira's name? TDP is spreading baseless speculations about Polavaram project and it didn't even 1% role in it, ' he said.

KVP demanded Chandrababu Naidu to tell who dreamt of Polavaram project and who began the project. He went on to say Indira Gandhi was responsible for CBN's growth as a politician. 'This is how you show gratitude to someone who has give a political life? Don't try to hide the history. Attempts were made for construction of Polavaram even before the Independence. It's the idea of Krishna Ayyangar and KL Rao during British Rule,' claimed the Senior Leader.

The Former Rajya Sabha Member questioned why didn't Chandrababu take measures to complete Polavaram project since 1983. He ridiculed Naidu saying he is suffering from alzheimer's and in need of urgent medical care.

KVP recalled 1 crore signature campaign of Congress for Special Category Status. He claimed he made the second signature and the campaign began from Polavaram itself. He slammed TDP Government for obtaining just Rs 1,800 crore from NABARD for Polavaram project.
