Update: 2014-01-29 05:54 GMT
MLC KVV Satyanarayana (Chaitanya) Raju and MLA Adala Prabhakar Reddy filed their Rajya Sabha nominations as Samaikyandhra candidates on Tuesday. This move mounted the pressure on Congress Rajya Sabha candidates KVP Ramachandra Rao and T Subbarami Reddy.

As January 30 is the last date for witdrawal of nominations, KVP and TSR are holding talks with Rebels for victory. An election will be happenning on February 7th if the talks fail.

Adala Prabhakar Reddy alleged Minister Kondru Murali have been threatening MLAs with IT Raids and Cases on the Businesses on behalf of T Subbarami Reddy for backing him.

Even Chaitanya Raju accused Congress leadership of making threatening calls to the MLAs supporting him in RS polls. He, however, refused to withdraw the nomination unless there is a clear assurance from Centre to keep the state united.
