IPS Officer VV Lakshminarayana became so popular in Telugu States with the high-profile cases (Jagan DA Case, Satyam Scam, Gali Mining Scam) he handled as CBI Joint Director. Some time ago, He was relieved from the duties of CBI JD and was appointed as Additional DGP in Maharashtra.
Much to everyone's surprise, Lakshminarayana sought permission for Voluntary Retirement from the Maharashtra Government few weeks ago. Usually, The process would last for a minimum of three months but the IPS Officer requested CM Devendra Fadnavis and Centre to make him a free bird at the earliest.
Finally, Lakshminarayana has been relieved from all the official duties and he is now free to do whatever he want. Though he confirmed the news, The Former IPS Officer refuses to admit political agenda and says it's too early to speak about it.
Lakshminarayana remained tight-lipped on the reports of either joining Jana Sena or floating a New Party. There must be a strong reason behind quitting service 7 years before retirement.
