Days After Mahanadu, Firebrand Leader Quits TDP!

Update: 2022-05-31 09:30 GMT
The much-awaited Mahanadu of the Telugu Desam Party was concluded recently. With the 100th birthday of TDP founder late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao falling on the same date, the TDP cadre took it as a prestige issue and made elaborate arrangements for the event. The crowd took part in the event in big numbers.

Mahanadu seeing good footfall gave high hopes to the grand old party that it can pin hopes of defeating the YSRCP in the next polls. The Telugu Desam Party leaders are highlighting the Mahanadu success saying that people are not happy with the current government.

Making the TDP forget the Mahanadu success, actress-turned-politician DivyaVani shocked the party by announcing her decision to quit the party. Taking to social media, DivyaVani said that she took the decision to oppose the interference of negative forces. She took the opportunity to thank every party worker who supported her in this journey.

"To oppose the influence of the evil forces in TDP, I am resigning from the Telugu Desam Party. I would like to thank each and every party activist who supported me all these days, Divya Vani's Telugu tweet loosely translates to English.

Just days after the Mahanadu event, Divya Vani gave a big shock to the party and its leadership. She is expected to hold a press meet today to clear the air on this and to take us through what made her take the big decision.

Since the past few days, there has been news that things are not going well between the Telugu Desam Party and Divya Vani, courtesy the absence of Divya Vani at the prestigious Mahanadu event which was held in a big way by the leadership.

After working in more than 40 films across the languages, Divya Vani joined the Telugu Desam Party. She joined the grand old party in 2019. During the polls, Divya Vani campaigned for the party.

Despite the Telugu Desam Party losing the 2019 polls cheaply, Divya Vani stayed with the party. But she sent shocking waves across Andhra Pradesh by leaving the party after working for three years for TDP.
