Life Term Imprisonment for Balayya's Producer

Additional District Judge BB Nagendra Rao on Wednesday awarded life term imprisonment for the convicts in the murder case.

Pusala Konda was murdered on October 19th in 2007 due to the dispute related to BMC Company at the Bangarammapeta in Nakkapalli Mandal, Anakapalli. Former MLA Chengala Venkat Rao and 20 Others were convicted in the case. While the Ex-MLA and 15 Others were sentenced to life term imprisonment, 5 Women were awarded 2 years jail term.

Chengala Venkat Rao served as TDP MLA from 1999 to 2009. He represented Payakaraopet Assembly Constituency.

Mr. Rao produced Nandamuri Balakrishna's record breaking hit 'Samarasimha Reddy' and NTR's mass entertainer 'Narasimhudu'. He, however, wasn't active in film industry after the Tarak-starrer bombed at the Box Office.
